Dennis Blake OLY, the two-time Olympian from the Parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, was eight years old when he formulated three goals to:
(1) Be on television
(2) Run in the Olympics
(3) Win an Olympic medal
Raised by a single, uneducated, and deaf mother who clean houses for a living, he was always the fastest boy in the class.
By age 20, that speed launched him to America and a college scholarship. His mother, stunned and surprised, laughed in disbelief at his golden ticket abroad.

Dennis Blake OLY was awarded a two-year scholarship to attend Blinn Junior College, in Texas. Having gain recognition for his athletic performances, he was awarded thirty - nine athletic scholarships to attend Universities throughout the United States which includes Alabama A&M University his Alma Mater. As a former member of the AAMU track and field program under the tutelage of coach, Walter Tullis, Blake represented his country and the University at the most prestigious and the apex of all sports, the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta Georgia. There he earns his first Olympic medal.
Earlier, Coach Blake had participated in the1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Among his numerous honors are: two-time Olympian and Bronze Medalist; two-time World Championship and Silver Medalist; flag bearer at the Pan-American Games
